Haylilli Posted September 30, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2007 This is our first cruise ever and it is our 30th anniversary and wanted to splurge a bit for this special occassion. We are booked for the 28 Jan 08. We are booked for 10002 AC penthouse suite with the understanding that we are getting a room with floor to ceiling glass doors. Through pictures that we have looked at frontal view we are not getting floor to ceiling sliding glass doors and that out of the 8 rooms only 2 rooms actually have those windows. The rest have a small window with the only access to the balcony is through a seawall door that we must keep closed (per a review) while at sea. Is this true? We are on the final leg for the POH (since POH is moving on to Europe) and we will be at sea for 4 days going to CA. We were so excited about the this cruise and realize that this is only a door but it IS part of the choice knowing we can open the doors for fresh air and easy access to the balcony. NCL states there is nothing we can do other than call every day to see if 1 of the AC suites with the doors cancel then if available call my TA and ask them to move us. The only other alternative since the ship is pretty much booked is to go to an AB cabin penthouse and pay an additional 1K per person since all other penthouse suites are booked. Would love to hear from others who have been in this situation and what their advise is. Thank you.:(
