Monserrat Monastery and Girona by Auto?

Recommended Posts

We flew to Girona and stayed on the Spanish Costa Brava 4 years ago,we intended to visit Monserrat and Barcelona in the same day, only managed Barcelona took us about 1.5hrs in the car ( Girona a further half an hour), would be a real long day to try and do the both, but certainly possible. Train to Girona would be a better bet and a lot cheaper, search Barcelona tourist sites for timetables pretty sure they do the trip. If you havent been to Barcelona before I would suggest you spend it there very intersesting place, an excellent tourist bus takes you to the majority of the sites where you can get off for a while and pick the bus up latter, or walk the old city and around Las Rambles. If you are there of an evening the Magic Fountain light show is not to be missed think it starts about 8pm. We have also cruised to Barcelona a couple of times, we enjoy it.
