What benefits are there in having a suite or mini suite?

I just wondered what exactly do you pay so much more money for. I know about the butler thing. Do you get free drinks in your mini bar? Canapes and things like that? Free laundry?

Anyone had a suite?

Here are some of the things you get

dedicated check in,

early embarkation,

lounge on ship with food and drink on embarkation,

butler who will look after all your needs, book trips, tables in specialty dining, appointments in the spa and much much more,

a much larger cabin with better facilities,

large bathroom with separate bath and shower,

more storage space,

a trouser press,

fresh fruit every day,

flowers in the room,

champagne on arrival with chocolates (big box)

moulton brown goodies (2 big boxes),

canapes every day,

disembarkation when you like,

Any meals you want served in your cabin, from the restaurant menu,

parties in your cabin prepared by your butler, served by him and cleared away afterwards,

your bags unpacked by your butler (never found anyone getting this service).

There are more but I cannot think of them at the moment.

We had a suite for our 30th wedding anniversary, it was fantastic:D

Dai, can you give me some idea of the cost of having a drinks party in your suite? We are on the Arcadia in 7 weeks. Needless to say we cannot wait. A bit damp here, off to the Toon tomorrow to do some serious shopping!

Hi Janey,

The Butler will supply the canopies and some nibbles and you provide the booze. If you wish to give wine then buy onshore and take it with you. Spirits buy bottles on board eg 1ltr. Gordons Gin £11. You can buy the small mixers 12 for the price of 9. Your butler will get all of the drink for you and add it to your bar bill. So you can work out for yourself what it may cost, I think wine to buy is restaurant prices, as is the bottled beer if you want that so again take it with you.

You could take some on at each port and have the party late in the cruise. You would have to make sure you had no half empty bottles left to take home.

Hope that helps.
