Luggage tags when cabin not assigned

I am cruising on CB and do not currently have a cabin assigned. I was told that I probably wont get one assigned until I get to the pier.

 

I haven't sailed with Princess before, but from what I recall with RCCL and Celebrity, when you get to the pier you hand your cases over to a porter and then go to check in. The next time you see your luggage it is in your cabin.

 

What happens when you dont have a cabin assigned? Do you have to take your luggage to the check in desk with you? How do the porters know which cabin to take your luggage to?

 

Any help with this is much appreciated.

The porters will have the manifest with your cabin assignment. You will just fill out your luggage tags then and you will be fine. Have a great cruise!

just wondered does this work as well when your embarking in a port such as bangkok, which princess only use as a occasional embarkation port.

I doesn't matter which port you are in. Works the same.
