Neri Hotel/Barcelona

Recommended Posts

We walked by and checked it out. It seems to be an excellent boutique hotel. The reason we didn't stay there is you have to walk about 2 blocks with your luggage as it is pedistrian only. We had too much luggage to do this.

Six of us stayed at Hotel Neri before our June 26th cruise on Millie. The hotel is in the old Gothic Quarter and a short walk from Catedral and Las Ramblas.

The cab driver at the airport took us as close as possible since the hotel is located in a pedestrian area. We did have a short walk with luggage, however, you can call the hotel when you arrive at Placa St. Jaume and a porter will come to you. Departing for the ship was easy and the hotel called a taxi for us and they pulled right up to the hotel's door.

The rooms are very comfortable and contemporary. There are plasma tvs hanging on the wall, a mini bar, a safe, and an incredible bathroom, the walls are made of stone, and they provide little silver mesh goodie bags filled with various bath essentials. I feel as if I am going back down memory lane. The breakfast (not included) was also a treat. The presentation was amazing and almost too pretty to eat.

Upon arrival we were refreshed with a glass of rose water served in a champagne glass . The little touches and the quaint location make this hotel in my opinion a real find. The staff was helpful and if you are looking for someone to show you around, Armondo Passeo is a terrific guide. Hotel Neri recommended him and he was excellent. Don't miss the Sagrada Familia, or Park Guell. Enjoy!
