Gem Balcony 9654?

I know the Gem is a new ship but by comparison to other ships someone might have an answer for me. I am contemplating reserving Balcony room 9654 (Deck 9) which is only like 6 cabins up from the back of the ship. Would this be a bad choice? I guess I would be concerned about any engine noise/vibrations and long walks. I think there is an elevator close by if I am reading the deck plan right. There are not many other options it seems to be pretty booked there are a few balcony up front left.

Thank You!

I am also on the Gem next year, & have an aft balcony cabin facing the wake, we always try to get one in the back, but midship is best for convienance I suppose. As far as engine noise goes, you can get that in an aft cabin it really depends on the ship, we were on the NCL Spirit last year and this ship had more shakes & rattles than a roller coaster! Did the Crown Princess this year... smooth as glass, so it really depends on the ship & the seas. I prefer an aft cabin though.
