CardinalPilot Posted October 11, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2007 Just wondering if I need to print out and bring with me a layout of the ship for all the decks - or do they provide that to you?
JonnyCruiser Posted October 11, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2007 Just wondering if I need to print out and bring with me a layout of the ship for all the decks - or do they provide that to you? There will be one in your cabin and you can pick up as many more as you want/need at the purser's desk.
Flip2cruise Posted October 11, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 11, 2007 Just wondering if I need to print out and bring with me a layout of the ship for all the decks - or do they provide that to you? On some ships they will hand them out as you board. You can always just go to the Pursers desk and pick one up. There is usually one in your cabin as well. MS QUEEN Posted October 11, 2007 #4 Share Posted October 11, 2007 As you are boarding the ship, you will be handed a pocket size / fold-out of the ships layout.
LABecca Posted October 11, 2007 #5 Share Posted October 11, 2007 When you board the ship you are give a pocket-sized map of the ship, much easier than toting around a big ol map from the web-site or brochures.
denisey Posted October 11, 2007 #6 Share Posted October 11, 2007 While I agree with the above posters that maps are available on the ship (there is also a directory by each elevator) I always take a brochure with me. I think the map in there is clearer. It is a top view of each deck. The little maps they hand out are side views. The big ones just make more sense to me. jhsieh Posted October 11, 2007 #7 Share Posted October 11, 2007 We've never been handed one or had one waiting for us in our cabin. I've always been able to get one from the pursers desk though. They are pretty small (maybe index card size). I'd bring your own.

I like the size since it fits easily into your pocket.
Safetyal Posted October 12, 2007 #11 Share Posted October 12, 2007 Just remember, regardless of what the map says, if you fall in the ocean, you went to far. :D
Yellow_Jacket Posted October 12, 2007 #12 Share Posted October 12, 2007 Just last week, on the Liberty, they were not handing the deck plans out as you boarded, and there was not one in the cabin. I found a rack of them at the Purser's Desk, so was able to get one with no problem.
