need beach help!

We will be visiting St Lucia on the Galaxy in March and are looking for a beach, not a far taxi ride from the port, that has decent snorkeling and a restaurant. We have already been to St Lucia once and did a FABULOUS tour with Cosol, so this time are just looking for somewhere to sit and relax for awhile. Any suggestions?

We went to Reduit (sp?) Beach. It was the best! They sell cold beer and also have a restaurant on the beach called Spinnackers Beach Bar. It has the best food ever!

I heard the same thing..and I will be on the same ship w/you! They had said to get a taxi to Spinnaker's...

DH and I wish we could go back there! If only our next cruise would stop there.

How much is a taxi there? Also is there a fee to get on the beach?

It was free to get into the beach. I cannot remember how much it was per person for the taxi because we went with a whole van full of people. It wasn't very much. It was worth it too because he dropped us off at the beach and was there waiting for us at the time he said he would be to take us back to the ship.

How close is it to the port? We are doing the Serenity Zipline first thing in the morning, and we should be done by 11:00. We were hoping to then hit a beach. Is this one of the closest beaches?

The beach we went to is about 15 minutes from where our ship was docked. It would've taken less time to get there, but there was a lot of traffic. Especially on the way back to the ship. It must've been rush hour then. But it wasn't bad whatsoever.
