SheriNtexas Posted October 13, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2007 Our daughter has asked us to take her on a cruise with us for her high school graducation gift . . . Any recommendations as to what the best carnival cruise would be to book in lat July 2008 or Early August 2008? First, you need to decide WHERE you want to leave from. Is there someplace a ship leaves that you can drive to, or can you fly anywhere? Then you need to decide where you want to go. For her age, probably the Caribbean is the best place. You will want to go when there is the best chance of others her age being on the ship. Also, how old will she be when you cruise? Most likely she will be 18, and age 17 is the cutoff for the planned activities for teens on Carnival ships. It is a little tougher for 18 year olds to find others, but she can. Now, if she plans on just hanging out with mom and dad, well, that's great too!! If the trip is mostly about HER and what SHE wants to do, then I would start with figuring out where you want to leave from, then see what ships are leaving from there during the time period you want, and then start researching the ports of call. Do you want lots of ports of call, or more sea days? Do you want a short cruise of 4 or 5 days, or a week or longer? You just have to figure out where you want to go, and just go from there! good luck!!:)
