PatchesPal Posted October 16, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2007 When sailing on the Pride, is the time on the ship the same time as the time in the ports? (is it 8am in PV also, since the itinerary says we're in port at 8am?) Am trying to make reservations for a massage at the Krystal in PV and want to make sure I have time to get off the ship after the Carnival Shore Excursion folks do (since they get first priviledges for disembarking) and walk over to the Krystal. THANK YOU for your help with this!
cathyz Posted October 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2007 In February when we were on the Pride, we went ahead just 1 hour, which didn't match PV or Mazatlan (I think they were yet another hour ahead), but the ship time did match Cabo when we were there. THANK YOU for your help with this! Your home port is in the pacific time zone, Cabo & Mazatlan are in the Mountain time zone and Vallarta is in the Central time zone. Nearly all ships will change ship's time to Mountain time just north of Cabo and change back to Pacific time at the end of the cruise just north of Cabo. During your time in the various ports, ship's time will match local time in Cabo & Mazatlan but will be one hour behind local time while in Vallarta. Pride sells excursions (las Caletas & Pirate ship) that leave the cruise terminal at 9 AM local time. The Pride always arrives around 7:45-8:00 local time. Book your Krystal massage anytime after 9:30 and you will have plenty of time to walk there without stressing out. Enjoy!

We decided to book late morning, just to be sure. Can't wait, since we've heard so many great things about Krystal's massages!
