Beaches-Cartagena and Colon

I would greatly appreciate the observations of anyone who has visited beaches at either, or both, of these two areas.

We visited Playa Langosta outside Colon earlier this year as part of a My Friend Mario tour. The beach is in a cove, so it's protected; not many rocks in the water, nice beach area. It is rustic - most of the seating is picnic tables with palapas. There is a changing area and a bar/restaurant. We didn't buy any food there, but the beer was $.75 a bottle and there were other beverages available.
