Looks like my Cruise on the Golden on Sat is going to have another passenger Hurricane KIKO, sould like we are going to be doing some rocking and rolling.

 

Hang in there(no pun intended) but the capt. will make sure you do not head right into the hurricane and you are correct; you might have some choppy waters. Hopefully that hurricane will just die because I am on a cruise Nov. 3 to Hawaii and I certainly do not want really choppy waters either.

We were on a ship during hurricane Ivan - took out Grenada and St. Kitts right after we'd been there. That part was very sad. They reversed our itinerary so instead of starting at St. Thomas we ended there. Some dark skies and a tiny bit of raining, but otherwise didn't really notice it. Not even rough seas. The captain did a great job.

 

Now, when we got back to San Juan THEN we noticed since half of Florida was closed. Fortunately we already had hotels reservations in San Juan BUT we had connections through Florida so due to the magic of computers and cell phones, we called from the lounge on board directly to the airline and one by one the rep changed our flights to get us on a direct flight back to LAX at no additional cost. Considering there were 11 of us and only 13 seats left on the plane it worked out fabulous. Took me 45 minutes but we got a great flight home.

we are headed to the mex riviera tomorrow on the Dawn - first stop is Tuesday in Cabo......we shall see.
