How young can you be to get into bars/lounges?

I am cruising with my 3 children, ages 19, 21 & 22. Can the 19 year old be in the clubs with the older ones or even with us? I know they have clubs for kids 15-17 but she won't want to do that.

Last year I took my 19 year old son& he was able to sit in every lounge. I dont know about every cruise line but I was on RCCL & NCL. Dont forget, on NCL if your in international waters and have written permission from parents, they can drink beer or wine (no other alchol)!

My children have been permitted in the bars and lounges since they were 18. Last year my 20 year old was served liquor. They always dress tastefully and are able to control their drinking. Except for DS, who mixed beer, tequila and rum. He deserved everything he got.

On Celebrity children under 18 can enter bars/lounges... but they can't go in the casino (they can walk through, but not stop to watch or play) and they can't be in the nightclub after 11 PM. They check cards... under 18 yo's have a different color. It USED to be that kids 18-20 could purchase wine and beer but they changed that... the drinking age now, for everyone, is 21. The only exception is a cruise that departs from and returns to a country in which the drinking age is under 21. Then they will allow 18-20 yos to buy wine and beer with a parent's written consent.

We're British (drinking age 18) & last year sailed in Europe (drinking age 18)

We had our sons aged 19 & 12 with us. There was no problem taking both of them in all the bars. They happily served the 19 year old drinks, probably as he was with us. They didn't want to take his cruise card to pay for it though, prefering to use ours. I suspect he may have needed to be 21 to purchase a drink on his own to comply with all countries regulations.

Meanwhile, the 12 year old was able to use his card to purchase unlimited soft drinks in any of the bars. :D

It depends of course where you are sailing, but she will certainly be allowed in the bars even though alcohol may be off limits.
