Atlantis with kids? Worth it?

We are thinking of taking the carnival excursion to Atlantis - not the aquaventure, but just the day tour, but were not sure about taking the kiddos (age 3, and 6) the aquarium might be cool, but a lot of walking, dark caves, etc might not be so exciting. Is it is just an adult activity if you don't do the water parks? Thanks

Your 6 year old would love the DIGS aquarium, It's not too much of a walk, but once out the door onto the grounds.. it's hard to tell your kids then can't go in the pools, or even sit on the lounge chairs.

If you just want a nice stroll around with the kids.. take them to the small zoo just outside of town, www.ardastra.com

They have free roaming flamingos, peacocks and a pot bellies pig. Lots of petting animals, marching flamingo shows, feeding cages for the lorry parrots, and other fun, hands on things in a small quaint environment.

Thanks, I will check that out - not sure what we want to do yet. We were thinking of taking one port day for ourselves, but may be too nerve wracking to leave them onboard. We can have adult fun in the evenings while they have camp babysitting. Any other thoughts on Atlantis or Nassau excursions will be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello:

You should look at posts on this board about the Comfort Suites. Get a room and all of atlantis is your for the using. CHeaper than the excursion, and includes all pool and the aquarium. So you get teh most of all worlds, and can do the day as you please. I prefer the aquarium in the afternoon, when the pools kind of close. For around $150 (or so), you can have it all!
