Border crossing changes in the works?

Somewhere I read that there are going to be major changes to the crossing stations from Vancouver area to WA state area in the lead-up to the Olympics. This could seriously effect crossing times at customs. Does anyone have any info about this and when these projects begin? Thanx!

They have already.... worst should be over before the new year....but construction up here right now is a bad word.

 

Northbound has been done for some while. It's just south bound (US) that is having issues now and only at Peace Arch. This does however tend to make Pacific Southbound worse also. Someday all will be normal. Whatever that is these days.
