Recommended Posts

;) Hi all,

A group of us will be on the Golden traveling to Barbados, Antigua, St. Lucia, St. Thomas and St. Marteen in October. We would love to try any local specialities, any suggestions for these islands? And is there any Must-Buy souvenirs from these islands? Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!

I love this forum, I have gotten many good advise and ideas here!!!!

St. Lucia - anything from Caribelle Batik

Agree w/above!! But ESPECIALLY pick up a bottle of their steak sauce. It is FABULOUS!!! We only bought one bottle......dumb enough!! :p Friends of ours went down there earlier this spring and we had them pick up a couple more bottles for us!!!

On St. Lucia we went to Carabelle Batik. They gave us a very interesting tour that showed the process used to make the cloth. You have the "opportunity" to purchase at the end of the tour. I got two pillow covers for the throw pillows on our sofa. They are printed with beautiful tropical fish. Have a great cruise.

At the Guavaberry place -- we bought the coolest bottles of the liqueur with hand-painted Christmas designs as gifts for friends. They were just a little more expensive than the plain ol' bottles and they had really beautiful designs on them. They could easily be used for regular Christmas decorating after they were emptied!! :D
