Need opinion about Pelican Grand in Ft Lauderdale

Hey, Newbie here;

I got a post-cruise stay booked at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort and a pre-cruise one-night stay at the HoJo's Plaza Hotel Miami Airport and would greatly appreciate any info or opinions about either of these establishments. Thanks for your responses.

The Pelican Grande is a fine property...not near anything your a captive of the hotel for meals unless you grab a cab. Be sure to request a room in the new tower section. Their pool is awsome, love the lazy river and the ice cream parlor. Beautiful wrap around porch perfect place to put your feet up and relax. Sorry, can't help you with the HoJo, never stayed in one.
