destination question

We took our first cruise this past summer to Alaska. I would like suggestions for a intergenerational cruise for the holiday 2005. The cruisers will be my husband and myself (age 50), two kids (ages 16 and 20) and "Grandma". We have been looking at the Panama Canal. We are more into sightseeing versus sitting in the sun. Any suggestions? The cruise would have to be 10 days or less.

Well, the Panama canal is a reasonable choice, but you could also do Caribbean or European itineraries within that constraint. Heck, you could do an NCL Hawaiian itinerary if you liked.

Any particular reason you [B]don't[/B] want to do an Alaskan one, or was your first cruise the whole crowd?

StephenJohnson, there aren't any cruises to Alaska during the holidays, and not many in the Med during the winter season. The OP asked about holiday cruises.

You could do Celebrity to the Panama Canal, but most Canal cruises are more than 10 days if you actually do the whole canal trip. Celebrity Summit does a very nice itinerary that's 10 days and includes places like St. Kitts and Aruba.
