Yes you can through www.cellularatsea.com The cheapest service is through AT&T. You have to call your provider to activate this system. You may also want to add international roaming in order to keep costs down. You can cancel upon returning to the US.

We will be on the "Dawn" to Alaska next year - does anyone know if the Cell phone will work there?? My Grandson and his wife will be leaving their three little ones at home and it would be nice to think that there would be cell phone coverage.

Unless things have changed, the Grand is the only one subscribing to the Cellular at Sea program.

We used our cell phone (t-Mobile) in all the ports in Alaska with no charge. If you use it on the ship be careful - If you go through the ship's satalite the charge is heavy.
