We will be on the Explorer Dec 14 and was wondering if anyone can tell what the weather should be like in St Thomas and San Juan? We are from the East so I realize that it will probably take about 1 1/2 days until we can sit on the deck comfortably, which is OK because we are still cruising!!!!!!!

It is usually mid 80's for air and sea temps. It will be cold just like you have surmised until you hit the area around the islands. You can go to www.weather.com and put in the destinations and look at the average temps for the time of year and 10 days out get the long range forecast. We did the Mariner in Dec 06 for the eastern islands and the weather was great!
