FinelyCruising Posted November 9, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2007 I got the Captain's Club News in the mail today and loved the front cover pic of the rendition of the covered pool. Looks lovely! There was all kinds of new details about the cabins...a few are: Closets that allow for different lenght garments! Iterlocking Staterooms are linked with a common vestibule off the corridor into each cabin...no more single door between the two allowing all the noise! Above bed storage and below bed storage...the beds are now higher to allow for better luggage storage underneath! Roll out trundles for 3rd and 4th! Extra large safe to hold larger handbags and laptops! Bathrooms with fog free mirrors and glass showers and a foot rail for us girls to shave our legs better! Sounds good to me! :)

Here is a more direct link to the webcam, and it's in English too ! http://www.meyerwerft.com/page.asp?lang=e&main=2&subs=0&did=826 I see that Solstice is really making some excellent progress now. Very exciting !
darrencantwait Posted November 9, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 9, 2007 Andy -- I know the photo at the bottom on the Meyer Werft site is Solstice, but do you know, in the bottom image, is it the area on the left, or the right? Or, are they moving blocks FROM the left to right to create the ship? It certainly IS getting big.
cdbaum Posted November 9, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 9, 2007 I believe that Solstice is on the left. Up until a few weeks ago there was a new NCL ship on the right then they brought the hull in for the ship that is there now.
FinelyCruising Posted November 9, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted November 9, 2007 The way the cabins flare in and out similar to what I think the deck plans represent, I thought for sure it was Solstice on the right...
cdbaum Posted November 9, 2007 #7 Share Posted November 9, 2007 I thought the same thing but there was originally a significantly complete ship there. I don't think that there is any way that they could have shifted the ship over. Maybe they changed which assembly building we are looking at or the location of the camera. If Solstice is on the right then they are certainly flying along. I know that the image didn't change for three or four weeks awhile back. It would be nice if the told us what ship was where in the picture (Solstice Left, rustbucket Right)
