Time To Arrive at Port?

We are sailing next Friday out of Port Canaveral on the Sovereign of the Seas. We are driving from Tampa, and wanted to know when should we get to the ship?

 

How long does it take from parking to boarding the ship?

 

How early will they let us on board and in our rooms? Is there stuff to do if you get on early?

Get there between 11am and 11:30am...Rooms will be open at 1pm, but you should be onboard by noon or so.

Sounds good. The WIndjammer is open as well right, so we can get something to eat?

 

Also, if we board around noon, but can't get into our rooms until 1pm, where do we get our room keys once we are already on board?

When you check in you will be issued a sea pass card. The sea pass card is also your cabin key. It is also used for on board purchaces that you make.

From the parking lot to the line to get on the ship is about 10 minutes. Line speeds vary. However, I try to get in line around 11:00 knowing I'll have to wait a little, but I want to be one of the first on the ship.

I just finished checking in for our NYE Cruise.

 

FMCowboy, do you know off hand if the HoJo near RJ Stadium over on Dale Mabry is a decent place for a quick night stay there in Tampa pre cruise? Thanks for any info you can supply!!!

Not sure about the HoJo to be honest with you. But I'd be suspect of hotels on Dale Mawbry to be honest with you. Best thing is to check TripAdvisor to see what others say about having stayed there.
