Taxi to the port

I am hoping someone can advise me. Our cruise will be departing from San Juan. We are a group of 9 (2 families). I have read that the taxi ride to the port should cost about $15-20. I am not sure however if that is per person or per taxi. I usually arrange a limo service to pick us up because as a gang it often is cheaper. Any advise?

The taxi rates to the ports are fixed and should be in the region of $15-20 + about $1 per bag (this is for the taxi and not per person). There are minvans availabale. If you are talking about getting to the pier from the airport, then you will line up and be given a ticket before getting into the taxi. This will have the cost on the ticket

Coqui is correct -

It is about $19 per taxi, not per person, plus tip, and some charges for luggage.

"Note: $0.50 per each piece of luggage, excluding hand pieces, and an additional charge of $1.00 per piece, after three pieces."

 

I could not find how many people per taxi to get the $19 price. I would guess 4 or 5 per taxi. I would search this SJ board to see if others with large groups have posted their costs.
