cassandra44 Posted November 10, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2007 We have been offered cabin 6002 on the upper verandah deck on one of the upcoming Westerdam cruises. It seems in an odd position at the front of the ship but appears to have something in front of it and we're concerned there might be some sort of obstruction. Can anyone give me any further information about this cabin (it's an oceanview category F).
Old As Dirt Mom Posted November 10, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2007 We have been offered cabin 6002 on the upper verandah deck on one of the upcoming Westerdam cruises. It seems in an odd position at the front of the ship but appears to have something in front of it and we're concerned there might be some sort of obstruction. Can anyone give me any further information about this cabin (it's an oceanview category F). I can't answer this question from personal experience, Cassandra, but if you would click on the links below, they are reviews that were written here on Cruise Critic by passengers in Westerdam cabin 6002. The first review is from December 2004, and has more detail about the cabin, and the second review is quite recent, from October 2007. Both reviewers liked the cabin and commented on the good views they had. The cabin is very far forward so if you are at all susceptible to motion sickness, that would be something to take into consideration. Hope the reviews below are helpful. http://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=7708 http://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=34038
cassandra44 Posted November 11, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted November 11, 2007 Thanks for the advice! Actually it's on the Zuiderdam rather than the Wdsterdam but I understand that the ships are very similar. Looks as if it might be an interesting choice!
