RDMOREU Posted November 12, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2007 We used one credit card for paying for the trip. We plan to use another when we register our credit card upon arrival at the ship. If we order Bon Voyage Gifts and Shore Excursions over the phone, how will they charge them to our account if they don't yet have the credit card number? honeydog714 Posted November 12, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2007 you have to prepay them, they will take a credit card number to process the gift order.
RDMOREU Posted November 12, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted November 12, 2007 Thank you for the explanation. How are the shore excursions handled? The same way?
Toyz711 Posted November 12, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 12, 2007 no, they will be charged to your on-board account, only after you check in
RDMOREU Posted November 12, 2007 Author #5 Share Posted November 12, 2007 So, I guess from the answers -- it doesn't matter at all if we use a differnt card to register on our onboard account. Is this correct?
Toyz711 Posted November 12, 2007 #6 Share Posted November 12, 2007 nope, not at all. i have my exrusions reserved..becausee that's all you do 'till you check in for the cruise. used one card to pay for it and have another card all ready to use for the on-board charges. when you get to your room there will be a notice of the excursions, they will show up on the bill the next morning, after embarking. salty dingo Posted November 13, 2007 #9 Share Posted November 13, 2007 The credit card you register at check in is only used for the duration of the cruise. Anything you pay for ahead of time can be on another card or paid by another method. In fact, you can change the card you use, or opt to pay in cash, right up to the end of the cruise. They only run the charges on the card at the end of the cruise, thought they put holds on the card you register with at the start of the cruise. The holds disappear when they run the charges at the end of the cruise.
