melika091900 Posted November 17, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2007 My friend just returned from mazatlan last week and said they have a casino in mazatlan called CALIENTE...???] i never knew mexico had or was getting any casinos. she said it was all slots, no tables, and they didnt serve liquor, i was just suprised since I had never heard of this... are there any laws in mexico making it to where these werent legal before ? just wondering why i never heard of any until now being there.... maybe we will have to check it out... ;) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As far as I know they have not approved or disapproved the instalation of Casinos in Mexico. But, at Caliente they call the slot machines "Electronic Bingo" and you are able to bet on sports, like horse races, boxing, baseball, etc. They are building a second place like Caliente in Mazatlan but with a different name (different owner I guess). So, as I say, it is sort of a Casino. Caliente is on Avenida del Mar (called Malecon) between the Golden zone and the port area. Have fun and good luck there.
