Does anyone know what kind of weather to expect this time of year? We have only cruised in the summertime. Thanks We just got back from the Victory on 11/4 and found the water to be quite cold at the beach. It also could have been because it was cloudy two out of the three ports (Cozumel, GC & Jamaica). Otherwise we wore tee-shirts, tanks & shorts - it still will get in the 80s!
-ClevelandRocks- Posted November 17, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 17, 2007 This itinerary was our first cruise when Sensation had this route. We left in Feb and it was very cool the first nite. But, we awoke to beautiful tropical climate the remainder of the trip and the huge climate change made a FANTASTIC cruise even better. I think you're gonna be very pleased with your choice. Don't miss the Sunshine Skyway bridge leaving Tampa, it'll be dark when you pass coming back into port.
dan40 Posted November 17, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 17, 2007 The weather should be great. GC's record lowest temp is 72 degrees. The reason that hurricane season ends the end of Nov. is because the water temp usually falls below 80 degrees. <80 degree water does not have enough energy to power up a hurricane. old sole Posted November 17, 2007 #6 Share Posted November 17, 2007 We just got back yesterday from a Western Carribean cruise on NCL. Yes, I know it's not Carnival, but the weather's the same! We were in Cozumel on Tuesday and Grand Cayman Wednesday. Cozumel was low 80's, BRIGHT sun, very comfortable. Grand Cayman was upper 80's, and again BRIGHT sun. It was warmer there than I wanted it to be, almost like summer although it did cool off as soon as the sun went down.
I Luv Crusin Posted November 18, 2007 #7 Share Posted November 18, 2007 Last year we were on the Glory to Cozumel, Costa Maya, Nassau, Belize and it was chilly. I hope you have better weather. The last day at sea was nice.
