newenglander58 Posted November 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2007 DH and I have narrowed our cruise choices down and we think we will be booking the Legend - 7-day out of Tampa - in April. I was browsing excursion and DH was thrilled to see fishing offered. My questions are: 1. anyone know the prices of these trips? 2. can we book these ahead of time (DH "if I can't go fishing we may need to postpone") 3. if I choose not to join him on the excursion will they [pair him up with someone??? Thanks, Paula
miss-canada Posted November 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 18, 2007 where did you see the fishing? I'm going on that itinerary next week -I can look it up for you.
miss-canada Posted November 18, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 18, 2007 Found it. In Belize $101 per person. You can book and pay for the excursions as soon as you book your cruise. it'll be a group thing, that will be cancelled (I assume) if the conditions aren't ok. Also, your money would be returned. newenglander58 Posted November 18, 2007 Author #5 Share Posted November 18, 2007 The 2 that he is looking at are : 1. 4.5hr deep-sea fishing - Cozumel 2. 6hr fly-fishing - Costa Maya *** since I have not booked the cruise yet it will not let me see the prices - just "$$$" dollar signs. If your reservation is on line and you can check I'd appreciate it. ****might be the perfect time for me to go to the spa!! Paula
tamcase Posted November 18, 2007 #6 Share Posted November 18, 2007 We are going to Cozumel and the price that is showing is 156.00 per person for the deep sea fishing. Can't help with the other, we are going to Grand Cayman.

JennLynn Posted November 18, 2007 #9 Share Posted November 18, 2007 We have been booking our excursions indepently for several years now. You can find out what's available at your ports, by looking on the internet. We have always been very pleased and really feel like we get much more for our money. They are often a fraction of the cost and tend to be smaller groups. Hope you have a great cruise!

I am not sure if it is because of the time of year or not. Before I booked there was a sunset trip that wasn't offered after I had a booking number, so the excursions listed are not always the finals. They add and take away depending. The Legend isn't scheduled for Costa Maya.
