jpetros Posted November 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2007 We are going to Nassau and Freeport. Does anyone know where we can get our passport stamped?
KINGBOBOFTHENORTH Posted November 19, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2007 At Nassau there is a Bahamian Customs office in the building immediately east of the cruise terminal. (As you're walking from the ships towards the terminal, it's the building to your left.) You have to pass through the terminal and go outside and then around to get to that building. Go inside and tell anyone you can find that you'd like a souvenir passport stamp and they'll direct you to the correct official. Assuming you get a stamp at Nassau then you won't need one for Freeport because it's the same country. However, FYI, the only place I'm aware of being able to obtain one at Freeport is if you happen to be around the ship docks when the Discovery Sun arrives from Fort Lauderdale. It's a day cruise operation that spends about 3 hours in Freeport before heading back. Passengers have to clear Customs and Immigration on that operation and there are officials in the terminal for their arrival. The terminal for that ship is at the far west end of the cruise port and Discovery Sun arrives daily at 1pm so officials will be in there beginning just prior. Don't get mixed up in there as passengers come off that ship. BobK/Orlando
