mom60 Posted November 20, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2007 Hi, I am planning my first cruise with NOS in February. I need to take my 4 year old girl with me. I know they have the kid program but I am afraid my girl might not want to go. I don't want to be stuck with her and I am curious if I can take her along with most of the ship activities such as dance lesson, formal dining, dance club, late night shows, and spa. I know there is age restriction for the casino and that's no problem but as long as she behaves, can I take her along on almost everywhere in the ship? Sue L Posted November 20, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 20, 2007 She won't be allowed in the adult only venues like the solarium or the specialty restaurant and frankly she would probably be bored at some of the other areas. I would encourage you to take her to the Adventure Ocean at least part of the day. She will probably love it. You also might want to go to the Family boards to get more first hand knowledge. Some of the late night shows are also adult only so read the Compass for any notes on the shows. Many of the bars and such I don't know if they will let you in or not. wrp96 Posted November 20, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 20, 2007 There are few places on the ship where kids are not welcome. Kids are quite welcome in the main dining room (same dress code applies), most of the bars/lounges, the theater, the ice skating rink, etc. Places/activities that have age limits: the solarium - need to be age 16 to be there the spa the gym - need to be age 16 to use it specialty restaurants - age 13 and up casino - age 18 and up nightclub - age 18 and up the main shows in the main theater are for all ages, but the late night shows are for adults only. There are also several game shows played late at night that are adults only. The compass will specify what events are adults only. If you aren't certain that she will go to the kids club, you may consider booking an in room sitter for a few evenings so you can have an adults only time a few evenings.
