Paradise Point/Mountain Top???

I am confused. Are these two different places? Thinking of taking the Tram up to Paradise Point during our stop in Jan. What is at the top?

Are the 99 steps located here? If so, and you take them down where do you end up?

Thanks in advance for your help! :)

Three different places.

Paradise Point: tram ride starts in Havensight area and at Paradise Point itself there are shops, nature trail, restaurant/bar. http://www.stthomasskyride.com

Moutain Top: northside of island, also a look out with shops and cafe/bar. http://www.greathouse-mountaintop.com/aboutus.htm

99 steps: historical attraction downtown Charlotte Amalie.

Thanks Islander for the info - so much to see and so little time. We have been to Megans Bay three times and I was looking for something different. Shopping is a must :p need to make time for that!

One more question - where do the 99 steps start - that you can come down and end up in Charlotte Amalie?

Again - thanks for your help

Moutain top has better views (IMO) from what I have seen from pictures. It's also the highest point on the island. We stopped there and got breathtaking pictures overlooking Maegen's Bay.

If you are looking for a new beach to try out, Saphire Beach was pretty amazing. The next day when we were at Orient Beach in St. Martin, we overheard a couple talking about how Orient Beach was prettier than Maegen's-- not sure if that is true or not, but we thought that Saphire was hands down prettier than Orient, and a lot more natural feeling. It also has good coral to snorkel over to the right side of the beach.
