 Anything in particular about this SS cruising Alaska? I don't think is totally square but any comments are appreciate it !:o First time with Celebrity and Alaska:cool:

SS1218 is a very nice suite Starboard. The veranda has small aft notch, but the veranda is still very large compared to most other sky suites verandas on deck 10.

We've had sky suites on deck 12 several times and we love those large verandas!:D

We have SS1208 on Mercury for our Hawaii cruise coming up in March 08.

:D :D LUCKY YOU !!!!

You'll love it. Quite a spacious verandha and a standard mini-suite size inside, butler, bath tub, champer on ice when you come in, all on a great ship, superior location....Go ahead and start dreaming !!!

;) Cheers

Roy - have you had one of the square SS rooms like 1202? Which would you prefer - one with a small notch for greater viewing like 1218 or one with no notch like 1202? We have 1203 booked on the Galaxy on a future cruise, but were wondering if one of the others would be preferable. I imagine all are great.

Hi Larry,

We had 1218 on Galaxy and loved the "notch". It made for better viewing. Our friends had the CC 1200, smaller but the balcony was bigger. It was square and felt very closed in. The "notch" didn't make any difference.

How is the baby? I haven't checked the Connie site in a while for Susie's postings. I'll bet Thanksgiving in the Simon house was very thankful and joyful this year.

Larry,

If our decisions were always this complicated:D

The reason we liked the "notch" was that you could see out easier aft, and it was really nice to have that space a little more open. We had no problem "loosing" that extra footage since the balcony was so big we didn't know what to do with it all.

Whatever you choose will be the right decision for you guys.

We're really looking forward to sailing again with the Martini Gang. Right now the Posse is all over the place on trips, some on Quest, some on Summit and some on none at all.

We do see each other as often as possible, like on 12/28 we'll be traveling to Joyce's house for a holiday visit (wine and spirits included). We stay there, Lucy & Ray only live about 15 minutes away, and it makes life (and alcohol) so much easier to bear!!!!

Best to Sue and Lucas too!

Pat

Pat - We ended up switching to 1218, but then Mike and Mary ended up wanting to move to a SS next door - so we switched again to one of the pairs of SS that have the angles facing each other and both balconies about the same size. Will be great cruising with them as we haven't cruised together since our cruise with you guys two years ago.

Take care
