Rob&Nancy Posted September 7, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2004 We are just starting to make preliminary plans for our excursions. While we're not going until January :( , I'm trying to do as much research as possible in advance - this is our first cruise. Has anyone been on this tour? I would like an honest evaluation, we really don't want to go if it's a huge cattle call or if the creatures are in any way mistreated. Any reviews would be much appreciated. Atiya Posted September 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2004 I'd like to know about this, too. I remember sometime last year reading comments that the Antigua stingray swim was in some way not very good, and not to be compared with the one on Grand Cayman. However, I was supposed to be researching Alaska at the time, so I don't really remember the specifics. I love rays, but if they aren't being treated well or if the experience isn't really interactive, I don't want to do it.
alborn63 Posted November 16, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2004 We have been on this tour and it is not worth the money. The reason I can say this is we have swam with stringrays in Grand Cayman and in Belize. This is not very enjoyable after those 2 destinations. I truly would not waste my money on this excursion. You are only waist deep in water along with 50 other people in a 200 x 100 pen. Spend your money somewhere else.
