cjhampton Posted June 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2004 I always find great info on the boards and have read lots about excursions... was wondering which of these ports: Sitka, Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan have easy to use and cheap shuttle buses to get around to the sites? I am not much of a narrated tour person (plus will have my 13 year old who REALLY isn't ) so I'd to be able to get to the sites myself Thanks! travelgirl87 Posted June 20, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2004 Juneau has a trolley that makes repeated loops around many of the tourist points. Here's a link: http://www.juneautrolley.com/ Enjoy!
BSeaBob Posted June 21, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 21, 2004 juneau has a great transit system. $1.50 each. Tell the driver you want to transfer everywhere. Buses right outside the dock. There is even a stop about 1 mile from the Mendenhall glacier and a flat walk there and back.
