robsvacation Posted September 7, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2004 While I'm sure it's not a first, I thought the big deal about Aruba was that "huricannes don't come this far south." I suppose so long as it stays a watch and does not become a warning all is well. Meanwhile I'm a bit concerned for my family in Trinidad, huricannes aren't unheard of there but still pretty rare. Most of my family (uncles, aunts, cousins) are in Port of Spain, hope they are ok. In a country where it normally takes years to get phone line installed, a huricanne would take a while to recover from.
