You think $3000 a year is a lot on my $450,000 home?!? Homeowners insurance runs $1800 a year. Just a little more than CA, huh?

Where do you live? I'm in Miami....my property tax is over $10,000 and my insurance is over $4,500 on a $550,000 house. That value may be high in other parts of the country, but it just above median value for Miami.

I was born, raised and educated in Miami. We now live in Citrus county. At 3500 sq. ft living, our house would be $1M+ in Dade county!
