jessgmann Posted November 29, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2007 So we're getting married March 5th on Grand Cayman and I'm getting anxiety about the tender situation. I've "heard" that GC is a frequently cancelled tender, especially during hurricane season. Just wondering if anyone has experience with going in March? We picked March because it is the dry season. Thanks!
drew sailbum Posted November 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2007 Grand Cayman is a tender port. Weather causes problems with tendering primarily in the high season for cruise ships - from mid-November to mid-April. Worst period is late Dec to end of Feb. Disruptions are rare during Hurricane Season from June 1 to Nov 30, unless there is a storm right on top of us.
BeachTeach Posted December 4, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 4, 2007 We had issues getting back on the ship and having to wait for 2 hours. Hopefully you can get on the beautiful island and get married! It is so pretty!
