WinnieinWA Posted December 1, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2007 I would appreciate any information anyone has on the daytime activities offered. I am planning a Mexican cruise the first week in April and since I am a 57 yr widow I don't do the pool scene aside from reading and people watching. I can't find much information about any classes offered but perhaps I'm not looking in the right places. Any information at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,:) Winnie <---->learning one step at a time about cruising alone
seadrifter Posted December 1, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2007 Please forgive me but, are you asking about the Oosterdam?
Northshorecruisers Posted December 1, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 1, 2007 You will love the "O". Excellent ship, great service. When you get your flyer each night, you'll find a lot of things to keep you busy. Anyone out there have any new daily activity sheets?
cruisinjudy Posted December 1, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 1, 2007 Yes, it must be the Oosterdam since she says Mexican Riviera. One thing you may be interested in is cooking classes. There are free demonstrations and small classes for $29 I believe. There are also exercise classes. And then there are lectures which very on each cruise. There are also trivia contests. seadrifter Posted December 1, 2007 #5 Share Posted December 1, 2007 Hi Winnie - I am assuming you are asking about activities on the Oosterdam since you mentioned the Mexican Riviera. I took this cruise in 2006 and absolutely loved it. We had no trouble finding things to do, even on sea days. Here is a link to the HAL website onboard activities page. Hopefully this will help you decide. However, I believe that each ship and, for that matter, each cruise has specific activities that may vary. Hope you have a great time on the Oosterdam.
