December weather on Star?

During days at sea in the month of December, what are the temeratures like onboard the Star? Can you use the outdoor pool during the day? If you are on deck in the evenings is it windy or chilly? As well, how is the weather while at the ports?

Even though our cruise is not until December of 2008, I would like to know what to expect so I can buy a few clothing items here and there when they are on sale and tuck them away until then.

Thanks,

Pokey

It was cool the first day out, but nice enough to sit outside. Once we got into Mexico, it warmed up quite a bit, and was plenty warm even at night to be outside. On the last sea day, it was cold and windy - hardly anyone was outside, and no one was in the pool, except a couple of kids.

Being a fellow Phoenician, I don't know if you are like me and get cold when the temps hit 70... I brought a light jacket for the first and last days, and that was all I needed...

Thanks Jeepgirl42! Yes, when it hits 70 Degrees, I start to get cold while my partner is freezing (he's such a baby LOL!). I figured leaving and arriving from LA would be somewhat cool or even cold as it has always been when ever I have been there during the month of December. Seeing how I have never been any further south than Nogalas or Rocky Point during December, I don't know what to expect.

Seems as though I can pretty much dress the way I do in Phoenix during spring-time, which is basically Fall, Winter and Spring seeing how we basically only have two seasons -- mild and HOT!
