2busymomof3 Posted December 10, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2007 I am trying to make arrangements in advance for snorkelling in Belize. I've been told that Shark Ray Alley was terrific and Mexico Rocks. What I've run into though is one of the guides sent me an email saying that we have to fly there from where our ship (the Glory) docks. Is this true? That makes it considerably more expensive. We're on the Glory sailing on Dec 15th, anybody else sailing the same time?

There are Carnival excursion that will pick you up right from the ship but many of the third party excursions I looked into require addition transportation after you get ashore. Which did add considerably to the cost!
Tightlinerods Posted December 10, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 10, 2007 We snorkled in Belize thru Carnival and it was a blast .. kiddos caught an octopus in a conch shell and of course the rum was tasty.. Cannot remember the name but they run a catamran type boat.... John

I usually book independent, but I really like the idea of being picked up at the ship. Sally

Belize is a tender port so it is better to be picked along side the ship comoared to tender to port that head out... Enjoy take some of the cheap waterproof cameras and you will have a blast...
