CruisinNole Posted December 10, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2007 The Port of Miami cruise terminal parking fees have been raised to $20 a day. Have any of you who drive to the port ever parked at a lot other than at the cruise terminal? I've seen some advertised but would feel more comfortable parking someplace else if I had a recommendation. Dotty
srq2003 Posted December 10, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 10, 2007 Id like to know also, $20.00 a day is getting too steep for parking... I remember when it was $5.00 or $8.00 a day!
4bythebeach Posted December 10, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 10, 2007 United airport parking is around $77.00+ tax for a week and they have free shuttle to the port. FYI if you drive a SUV, truck or minivan, they consider this an oversized vehicle and charge extra per day. I have not used this parking. I have a SUV and with the extra charge, I decided to just bite the bullet and park at the port and then not have any frustration with shuttles. We do have a friend going on the cruise with us and they will be using United airport parking tho.
jt1120 Posted December 10, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 10, 2007 And they make you PREPAY! OUCH! Twenty bucks sounds way too steep, but it is so convenient to park right there by the ship. I'd also like to hear pros/cons of United parking.
renza Posted December 12, 2007 #5 Share Posted December 12, 2007 I am looking to park at united myself, but I was a little worried about how much time it would take to get back to my car after the cruise. Any, ideas would be greatly appriciated.

The garage that Carnival uses requires to pay upfront.
