Resort and shore snorkeling

Hi All- We are crusing in less than a month. The plan for Grand Cayman is to hopefully find a nice resort area where we can hang on the beach and venture into the sea for some "shore snorkeling". We do not swim a ton and ideally we would be able to venture out quite a ways before the water got too deep. Having a wait staff to bring food and beverages would be great.

So, hopefully I am not asking too much. As an extra bonus, if this place was not jammed packed with people it would be perfect.

Any thoughts?

Sandy beaches and interesting snorkeling usually don't go hand in hand. Fish like structure that long shallow sandy beaches generally don't offer.

Having said all that, you may want to look at Cemetery Beach, which is supposed to have a good beach and good snorkeling. The downside is no services.

Rum Point may offer you just enough of all the things you've asked.
