childrens clothing for dining room

We will be on NYE cruise on the Majesty with our grandkids (boy 10 yrs. old and girl 6 yrs. old). This is our 1st cruise with children and we were wondering what children can wear in dining room (jeans, shorts) or do they have to wear casual long pants and dresses? We have been on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Princess and Norwegian before and know NCL is a little more casual than the cruise lines. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Shorts are not allowed.

 

Kahki and dockers pants and polo shirts would be allowed in all dining rooms every night.

 

Jeans are allowed every night in all venues except one designated main dining room which will be no jeans each night. (but kahki or dockers are acceptable)

I am reading my new catalog and it states "Kids 12 and under are welcome to wear nice shorts in our restaurants whenever."

Well, there you have it. I'll have to remember to hide that from my daughter - she wears sweats every day, so this is my opportunity to see her dressing like a girl every evening!!! :)
