HAPPY RETIREES Posted December 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2007 Are any other Canadians having trouble with the p/u service for luggage? HAL had not sent us the information package required. After much prompting we received by fax some info on the 6th. We immediatly contacted International Port Services. First they told us we were too late for Canadian pick up, but in the end they gave us until the 10th. As of right now on the 13th nobody has contacted us to p/u. Looks like we may have to repack and haul it all with us. Have other w/c pxs had these luggage problems?
ldog Posted December 13, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 13, 2007 That's terrible. Can you ship it your hotel in Florida? Expensive but I couldn't imagine schlepping that much luggage to take on the plane. Can your travel agent help?
HAPPY RETIREES Posted December 13, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted December 13, 2007 Thanx Jan, Yes our travel agent is trying to stay on top of this for us, but it seems no one wants to take responsbility or get things moving. I will end up repacking everything to fit airline luggage weight!!
kryos Posted December 14, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 14, 2007 That's terrible. Can you ship it your hotel in Florida? Expensive but I couldn't imagine schlepping that much luggage to take on the plane. Can your travel agent help? Would you even be allowed to take tons of luggage on the plane ... even if you were willing to pay the extra charge for each bag over the limit? I always thought the airlines did have the right to refuse to accept extra luggage if the plane was particularly full? Blue skies ... --rita
