Spa Question - Instant Tan

I read that the spa on NCL has a "tan" treatment. They do all these nice things to your skin and then apply an "instant" tan. Your tan is complete in three hours. Has anyone out there tried this? Do you really come out with a nice tan or are you orange and streaked :eek:

I know the sun worshippers treatment which is what I think you are referring to is no longer available on the jewel, it might depend on what ship you are sailing on

can't vouch for NCL, but had this done on a celebrity cruise and it was pretty much a waste of money.

 

They buffed your skin to remove all the dry spots and make the skin more receptive to the sunless lotion. Then they put on the sunless lotion. I wound up with darker spots on my elbows and really didn't look tan at all.

 

Save the money and just wear sunscreen and get your tan "naturally".

Thanks for the info. It sounded to good to be true. Maybe a tanning booth be for the cruise. Have done that before and it worked pretty well. :cool:

I had that treatment once - can't remember which ship - and while I did not have darker spots anywhere, I also had no noticeable color change AT ALL. The treatment was relaxing, but no noticeable tan afterwards.

They didn't offer it on my last cruise on the star. They didn't offer half the things that are shown on their on line menu though, come to think of it.

 

I really wanted to try it to as my poor Irish skin cancer prone skin isn't up to any other type of tan. And I got tired of blinding the poor kids with the glare off my legs!

I did not get this done on board; but I did get it done before my cruise - it sucked.

 

I ended up blotchy and skreaked with orange and brown.

my sister got one befor hawiian vacation..and i don t think i d

chance it anytime soon..

 

when i saw her..she look d like a darn orange..she was so piss d

she went back to have it remove d..that s when there were

streak s in the groove s of her skin..:confused:
