Help in Deciding Jewel Zenith or Constellation

Can anyone give us their opinion or comments to help us decide between these 3 cruises. 1 week to Bermuda on the Zenith (10-2 sailing), 10 days on Jewel of the Sea to Canada (9-18 sailing) or 11 days on Constellation to Canada (9-29) sailing.

We have been to Bermuda before and it's the best deal for the price. The Jewel is brand new, also double the price of the Zenith (of course more days) and the Constellation is about $500 more than the Jewel.

Please provide us with any helpful thoughts. We have a room on hold for TODAY on each and we must decide.

Thanks in advance.

We were in your same situation , we were booked on the Constellation for the 9/20 cruise(months ahead of time). At the time it was the newer ship going to NE(we wanted RCCL or Celebrity).

Last Dec. we were on the Brilliance and found out the Jewel was debuting this year and going to NE(we wanted to cruise somewhere besides the Caribbean).

So we canceled the Constellation and booked on the Jewel, it was a much better deal for us, we got a balcony discount for being diamond members and shipboard credit for booking on board.

The Jewel is a sister ship to the Brilliance, so if you choose Jewel you will not be disappoitned in the ship.

Since you have been to Bermuda before and Zenith is a smalller, older ship you may want to try Constellation or Jewel to New England.

Maybe we will see you on board!!

My husband and I were on the Constellation the first week of December. It is a really nice ship, with wonderfull food but not much in the way of entertainment. The post regarding differences in RCCL and Celebrity are true.

Celebrity seems to be an older crowd. Music in the evenings was lacking but the casino was always hopping. We are booked on AOS for this first week of December and look forward to returning to RCCL. We've done Celebrity 1/00, 12/01 and 12/03. Went on RCCl 12/00. We did a mix of all the cruise lines before that. We'll stick with these two forever.

All of the above cruises will be an older crowd because of the time of year. Also, the fact that two are 10+ days and the other on an older ship, you are not going to get many youngsters that can be gone for that long or whom want to cruise on an older ship.

Incidently, we had three generations on the Millennium and there was plenty for us all to do at night...including the teens. The timing, however was March - Spring break.
