mikefast Posted December 15, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 15, 2007 O.K., I've got another question for you experienced cruisers. Altho we have taken several cruises, we have never booked a shore excursion through RCCL, we have always done our own thing. However, there is one excursion we are interested in taking. Which is better, booking on line, or waiting till we get on the ship. We have already recieved our documents, and are leaving Jan. 20. If we book on line, do we print out our reservations on the computer, or do we pick them up on board? If we have to pick them up on the ship, there isn't much point in booking on line is there? Thanks again in advance.

If you book on line you can change your mind and get your money back up until 24 hours before the start of the excursion.

We tend to take a copy of our confirmation just in case of problem, which we've never had.
Sue L Posted December 15, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 15, 2007 If the excursion is a popular one it could be sold out. They only leave 30% for booking on board. If it is a very limited tour (one of ours had 10) then than means only 3 tickets for those booking on the ship. Book it now and you can cancel up to 24 hours before. cruzkitty Posted December 16, 2007 #5 Share Posted December 16, 2007 We always book our excursions on-line, and the tickets are in our Suite upon arrival-nice! No lines, no worries.
willysgrandma Posted December 16, 2007 #6 Share Posted December 16, 2007 Book it now if it is still available - as others have said, it might be sold out by the time you get on the ship. You will have to pay in full now and your tickets will be in your cabin when you arrive.
sandytoes03 Posted December 16, 2007 #7 Share Posted December 16, 2007 Book now--you won't want to risk the tour being sold out!
suezyq50 Posted December 17, 2007 #8 Share Posted December 17, 2007 I also say book now. We had an excursion we wanted to book. I checked with two other couples that were going with to see if they wanted to go. Three days later, it had been sold out. Don't be disappointed.
