MiamiCruiseGuy Posted December 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 16, 2007 Just got back from Victory, got stuck for 2 days in the tropical storm........yuck, Cruise Director is Malcolm Burns, or Malcolm in the middle as he calls himself. He is alot of fun. Not sure about piano player. The movies as I recall were Wild Hogs, Bridge to Terribethia, Pavorotti concert, and a few others. Also show an underwater show thats pretty neat. LHP Posted December 16, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 16, 2007 We are sailing on the Victory on the 6th Jan 08, can anyone tell me who is the pianist and CD, and what films are on the seaside theatre ?Thanks Bob Style just joined the Victory as the Piano Bar entertainer. He will be there several months. This is his first Carnival contract (he has played on HAL) and in just chatting with him via email...he sounds like he really wants to show the folks a good time. I hooked him up with some other Carnival Piano Bar entertainers so that they could give him some direction on the "ins and outs" of Carnival's piano bars and their sound system. (what he needed extra to bring etc) So go and show him the love and let us know how he was!! Tell him that Linda (musicalcruiser) said hi!!! Wilsoncruisers Posted December 17, 2007 #5 Share Posted December 17, 2007 We Just Got Off The Victory Yesterday. Had A Great Time. The Dining Room Staff Was Awesome. I Believe Bob Is The Piano Player By The Casino. In The Piano Bar (irish Pub), Eric Was The Piano Player. This Is Where The Sing Along Is. That's A Great Time. He Has A Book Of Song You Can Request From. If It's Not In The Book, He'll Play It If He Knows It. If You Throw A Tip And Get It In The Jar He'll Play Your Request Next. The Seaside Theater Is Pretty Cool. Some Good Movies, Concerts (u-2), Music Videos, Sunday Night Football, (but Not The Patriots Game Last Week). The Sea Life Dvd Gets Boring After 3 Straight Hours. It Would Be Nice If They Would Show The On Deck Activities While They Are Video Taping Them. Then You Would Be Able To See What's Happening Poolside If You're A Few Levels Up. Enjoy The Victory,
Rirruto Posted December 17, 2007 #6 Share Posted December 17, 2007 I just got off the Victory yesterday. Malcolm is the CD, woohoo! For clarification, Eric is the piano bar player. There are a few people who play the piano on board but only Eric performed in the piano bar. He was great and he seemed to know any song you threw at him. I was there 3 or 4 nights during the cruise. There was another guy with a keyboard set up by the casino, Jack Music, but he never played in the piano bar. Bobbi played the piano in the Atrium bar according to my Capers. They played Spiderman 3, Music and Lyrics, a U2 concert, Earth, Wind & Fire, Ray Charles, and a bunch of other things I can't remember off the top of my head. Oh, and the dang sea life scenes. Eric was only on the Victory for one week (12/9 - 12/16). My boyfriend and I spent several hours in Miami airport with Eric (who was on his way home) yesterday. Good times, good times....I'm still swaying.
