Lunch Options at the Pool?

The Blue Lagoon would have what you are looking for. But the Buffet is closer and usually has burgers and fries at lunch time.

The buffet is between the pool and the sun terrace on Deck 12, while the Blue Lagoon is way down on Deck 7.

On the Spirit they serve food in the Biergarten which is right above the pool area. There are nice little picnic type table in this area also.

If you're spending the day getting some sun at the pool, is there somewhere you can get a burger or hot dog and bring it back to your poolside seat and eat? What kind of food is in the Blue Lagoon?

You didn't ask which ship you are going on, but on the Star they have a grill right by the pool with burgers, brats and hot dogs every day. The buffet is right there too. We only ate at the buffet a couple of times, but we always brought our food outside - I didn't care for the cafeteria style seating inside.

The food is plentiful, and you may find yourself wondering "am I hungry yet?" when wandering around.

My favorite poolside fare was on Carnival Valor - the Fish and Chips restaurant was superb.

Most of the buffets have regular burgers and fries, pizza, and an ever-changing set of dishes, both warm and cold at various times.

My favorite poolside meal on NCL was when Majesty was leavign Grand Cayman -they brought out charcoal grills and barbequed ribs, burgers, sausages, chicken, and whatever else they had, and made a really nice spread out if it. Not sure if they still do that, but it was great!

The Bier Garten on deck 13 above the pool area has burgers, fries and I think they had hot dogs. It's a great place to grab a bite while you're out by the pool...the food is cooked and put out sorta like a mini buffet. Blue Lagoon also has the burgers, but they're prepared to order and usually taste a little better.

DH craved those burgers and talked about wanting one 24/7. ;)

Haven't been on the Spirit but on our NCL cruises...bbq at the pool, weather permitting.

If no bbq, buffet will be much easier for bringing food to the pool area and the Bier Garten should be great and convenient.

Have a great cruise:)

the buffet is just a few feet away...very easy to grab a sandwich and go back out. also, the drink station for ice tea and water are in the buffet area. late afternoon they start setting up the pool side food. usually bbq or such. (never ate there, was too busy running around else where) i took my own drink out to the pool, the drink servers are all over...never bothered me after i said "no, thanks" the 1st time. when they set up the "pool side" food, i didn't see any free drink station?

i bring my own pepsi on the ship...next time i am thinking of the soda card for 1 of us. saw many using it around the pool.

up on deck 13, the loungers get full sun, around the pool..most are in the shade.

usually i tell everyone to bring their own and get more at the ports. for the ports that the spirit goes to (out of new orleans) i will start telling people to bring LOTS of their sodas or get a soda card. between how the ports are (surrounded by areas of extreme poverty) and the length of time for some of the excursions (you don't have time to shop, if there were stores). even in the casinos, it's hard to get a comped drink..

if the ice tea was better or if i could drink the powered mixes (DH can but i can't...allergies). another thing, the rooms don't have refrigs, i had a small insulated carrier that could hold 2 bottles or 4 cans...even iced done the drinks didn't get that cold. just easier, next time i get a soda card. now, on another cruise...with a refrig or ports where i can buy more..i won't.
