Ship/Shore Time Question

Scheduled to sail on Grand out of FLL in March.

When making port in Cozumel, will ship time change to reflect moving into Central Time Zone? Or will ship time remain on EST the entire cruise?

You'll be in Central time.

In the daily mail you will get a notice to set your watch to Central the night before. They also remind you o set it back the next day!

Cozumel was our favorite stop..GREAT snorkeling!

ENJOY !!!!

Ship time does occasionally vary from port time. It seldom occurs, but happens more during our daylight saving times.

Your daily Patters (activities sheet) tells you when the times differ.

If you need to know in advance, check with Princess, or the vendor

if you're booking with an independent tour operator. They keep up

with ship schedules, and are probably a better source than Princess

home office.

Another very reliable technique is to troll the Roll Call boards for recent

returns for your ship. They will be your best source.

Each day the Princess Patter says what time the ship will sail from a port. At the gangway there is a clock and a sign with what time the ship will sail from the port. The clock gives the ships time, which is what you want to go by not the time on shore.

Just be sure you read the correct Princess Patter. We stopped in Spain on a trip and a couple read the Princess Patter for the day before when we were in Gibraltar. That time was an hour later than the Spain port. They missed the ship leaving from Barcelona. Lesson is be sure you read the ships newspaper for the correct date.
